Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo. If you register as a rider, we may also collect your motorcycle details (make, model, registration number) and riding license information.
Location Data
With your explicit consent, we collect real-time GPS location data during active rides for live tracking, route navigation, and checkpoint management. Location data is only collected when you are actively participating in a group ride.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, ride statistics, and device information (device type, operating system, browser type).
Communication Data
Messages sent through our group chat feature are stored securely to provide chat history and enable real-time communication between group members.
How We Use Your Information
Core Service Delivery
We use your information to provide and maintain RiderConnect's services, including real-time GPS tracking, group ride coordination, route planning, checkpoint navigation, and budget management features.
Communication
We use your contact information to send ride notifications, group updates, smart reminders for expenses, and important service announcements. You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.
Safety & Security
Location and ride data is used to power safety features such as deviation alerts, rider distance monitoring, and emergency notifications. We may also use data to detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Your data is never monetized through advertising or data brokerage.

Access & Portability
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data at any time. We provide data export functionality in your account settings, allowing you to download your ride history, group data, and profile information.
Correction & Deletion
You can update or correct your personal information through your account settings. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@riderconnect.com.
Location Permissions
You can enable or disable location sharing at any time through your device settings or within the app. Note that disabling location will limit certain features like live tracking and checkpoint navigation.
Communication Preferences
You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time. Critical service notifications (security alerts, ride safety warnings) will continue to be sent for your safety.
Data Retention & Cookies
Retention Period
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Ride history and group data are retained for up to 2 years after your last activity. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies for authentication, session management, and security. We also use analytics cookies to understand app usage patterns. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Offline Data
RiderConnect stores ride data locally on your device for offline functionality. This data is synced to our servers when connectivity is restored and is protected by your device's security mechanisms.
